On June 3, 2022, 1ST SUMMIT BANK proudly presented a check for over $1,000 to the Stork Fund, a nonprofit with a purpose to provide financial support to those seeking parenthood through fertility treatment or adoption. Money was collected at 1ST SUMMIT BANK offices in Cambria and Somerset Counties from employees and customers, all who signed their names and wrote messages that were displayed in the bank lobbies.

A strong supporter of community initiatives and nonprofits, 1ST SUMMIT BANK recently became a partner of Stork Fund after the fund awarded money to an employee for fertility treatments.

“The Stork Fund is reaching families in our community at an extremely important time in their lives,” said Sean McCool, Public Relations & Communications Manager at 1ST SUMMIT BANK. “We felt it was vital to do our part to help this fund grow and raise awareness. Caring for our families, our communities, and our children is at the core of what we do at 1ST SUMMIT.”

Stork Fund was founded in 2019 and is open to anyone within the greater Cambria and Somerset counties area that meet the criteria. Stork Fund was created under the umbrella of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies 501c3.

“1ST SUMMIT has been a welcomed partner to Stork Fund,” said Olivia Bragdon, Founder of Stork Fund. “We are also extremely excited to announce that the bank representative is expecting a child after a lengthy struggle with infertility. It makes what we do worth it.”
