Elmer C. Laslo, President and Chief Executive Officer of 1ST SUMMIT BANCORP, the parent company of 1ST SUMMIT BANK, has announced the promotion of J. Eric Renner to President and Chief Executive Officer of the bank effective July 1, 2020.
Mr. Renner has been the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of 1ST SUMMIT BANK since joining the bank in April 2019. In addition to the day-to-day operations and management of the bank, he will be responsible for planning, strategy, and growth.
Mr. Laslo will continue to be in charge of 1ST SUMMIT BANCORP, the holding company which owns 1ST SUMMIT BANK and Cambria Thrift Consumer Discount Company. He will continue to be involved with strategy, shareholder and customer relations, community and civic endeavors, as well as remaining on the board of directors of all three entities.
