The Package Delivery Scam is the latest scam feature in this week’s episode of the 1st Summit Scam Sleuth.

The Scam: The Package Delivery Scam

The Hook: You receive a text or an email alerting you to a package on the way but there is a problem with delivering it. Then the scammers send a link asking you to update your delivery and payment preferences.

Don’t click the link! It’s a scam!

The Scam Stop:

  1. Delivery companies don’t need your address or your bank information.
  2. Always call the company if you are expecting a package. Never respond to a text or email.
  3. Call us.
